Because I'm tall (6'3") I feel myselfe very uncomfortable in a FJ45.

How about a PZJ75 ?

i am tall and big and i am comfortabler in both models...the 75 has more room though...

So, in a FJ45, you don't have your knee hit the flasher arm when you clutch ?

That the reason why it stop to dream about one... then I dream about 75 ;)

nope, no problem at all in the 45 but the 75 is a bit more roomy...
i like to sit straight unlike Stoney that likes to have the cool 'laid back' look...
;^)
cheers

I agree a little more room in a 75 pick up cabin would be great. A 79 or a troopie would be the answer :)

You can take the person out of the ghetto, but you can never take the ghetto out of the person. :flipoff2:

Seriously though, ever since I seriously injured my back in 2001, I have found it absolutely necessary to be able to shift my seatback position in order to be somewhat comfortable during long drives.

You guys are lucky. I`m 6'10" and cannot fit in a 45. My shins end up hitting the dash and I can`t properly reach the pedals. Think circus bears on tiny bicycles and you get the idea how I feel friving a 45. I have always wanted one but I can`t safely or comfotably drive one. Is there any cruiser pickup that I could ever fit in without doing a huge modification to stretch the cab? I would love one for a tow rig when I build a formula toy.

There has been a few with very cool extended cab conversions. You might want to look at doing a conversion to a 45. stretch it out...

But 6 10" unfortunately it still maybe unconfortable. Even suburbans would be tight.

I think your best with a 4 door 77 welding up new seat brackets for length. Chopping the roof line behind the rear seat and bringing the back forward. So that you have room for a small tray back on the rear. It would be like a small crew cab. But with the space you need.

Probably a troopy or MWB could be modified to suit you.
Or maybe you could take the front seat out of a BJ70 and sit on the back seat to drive:D

Im 6.2 and could do with a little more room but Im used to it.

The 40/45 series seem to have the pedals too high and it becomes tiresome lifting your feet up to meet the pedals.
Proper pedal height was one of the improvements the the J7 got over the J4

Now the 105 and I suppose all the 100s are a different kettle of fish.
Driving a 105 makes me wonder what to do with my size 13s there is so much room in the footwell:rolleyes:

Wayne... I dunno how you can say a 45 is comfortable? ;) I'm 6'4" and pretty much ruled out a 45 because everyone I've ever sat in was tight.

Heck, even my 64 my knee hits turn signal bar. I really can't even use the left signal.

You must be all body and little leg ;)

32" leg so you could be right...
but yep i fit comfortably in the 45 that i drove for years... loved the damn thing except the fuel milage

I drove this 40 for logns ( more than 500 km ) trips .. with no reall problems ..

I'm 6.2" ( 180 lbs ) and I'm feel very well on it ..also in a 70 - 74 - 79 fine more comfortable ( off course are more modern ) never drove a 75 ..

I tried fitting in a BJ74 RHD but there is still not enough room. My mini truck fits me fine but it would take alot of work to stretch a 45 to fit me properly. I am tempted though.

I am 6' but with a 30 inseam....aren't I lucky. My problem is mainly headroom.

Thats why I like cruisers. designed for a turban :)

The best headroom I have seen to date was my T100.

Also I find width in some vehicles poor. As I am a 290 pounder. All muscle of course

where are you located? the reason i ask is because the PZJ70 i have here seems to have a ton of head room and leg room.. you might want to sit in it and see if this is something that might work for you...

I'm 6'6 and I had real problems driving my 40 until I got new seats and mounted them in the very back, well almost. A truck cab would pose real problems for me.

I you go near Montréal... phone me and I will sit in. :)

... I'm not sure by now, but it seem I can get one PZJ75 for a good price (but I realy don't know.... realy... if I what to get that project truck by now (mine truck from north Québec))

.... And for all people who have my shape (6'3" and 215 pound).... don't make us believe your are confortable in a 45.... never ;)
