I might be wrong, but last time I talked to a Highway Patrol officer in California where i am from he said he has never given a ticket for bead locks, because essentially they are making your car safer. I know one friend who has bead locks on his Jeep and has never gotten a ticket. Your best bet is to talk to a state patrol officer about it and see what he thinks.
Uh, just because he never has, nor the officer he may ask has or approves doesn't exactly meet the legal aspect... just saying.
In Utah wheel spacers are against the law however if they are called wheel adapters they are legal. They must bolt to the axle some how I've been told any SI guys have any info?
