All cars imported from Japan —where motorists drive on the left-hand side of the road — are at least 15 years old because federal laws place restrictions on newer cars. However, B.C. officials have asked Transport Canada to extend that to 25 years in an attempt to reduce the number of right-hand-drive cars entering the province.

Get em while they're hot; next year you may not...

I've mis-titled this thread - it should be "...to ban RHD imports." MODS: please change it if you can.

Notice that they have no safety data. If safety were the issue they'd ask for a suspension so they could study the problem.

Still, they've claimed it's a safety issue so now they'll have to prove it I guess.
