Which battery should I get for a non daily driver FJ60 that gets out maybe 1-2x mo? Just stock, no additional lights or gadgets to power. Looking for reliability and starting power for stretches of non use.

Group size 27 is the biggest that fits comfortably in the tray.

All the name brands seem to become senile at about the same age. If you can keep the batt on a Battery Tender/maintainer, it really doesn't matter what battery you get. All will start the car.

Something cheap would be a Costco brand battery, made by Interstate, to fit what you need.

Get a quick disconnect on the neg terminal. That will stop the battery from draining with parasitic
drag while it sits. That will keep what ever battery you get in top condition.
