I need to replace the battery in my camper and wondering what's everyone's go-to battery these days. Must be deep cycle. Most of the time the camper is connected to power so the battery stays charged from the invertor but when used at events its charged from a 100w solar panel.

Bang for the buck, a Walmart deep cycle lasts over two years of hard use and is tough to beat when you consider the price tag.

We've had good luck with the X2Power AGMs from batteries plus. Optima yellow top would have been the go-to a few years ago, but their quality has been hit or miss in more recent years.

Deka, aka East Penn makes a damn good battery. Napa batteries are made by Deka.
Johnson Controls (now Clarios) makes about 75% of the other brands out there like Everstart, Delco, Motorcraft, Duralast, Optima and some Toyota, BMW & Interstate batteries. These are all made to the specs of what ever brand it is. Deka made batteries have about a 70% lower defect return rate than batteries made by Johnson Controls. I can tell you for certain that Delco and Exide batteries are absolute junk and you should run not walk away from them.

i have deka in my ford. they have been very good. any idea who sells them?
