I have the the diode on my truck. Defintely helped my rear battery for my stereo is at 14.5 or so and 14.6 up front

I started using Optima Batteries in our 80's, Went through too many Sears Diehards.... Aren't they still the BEST ??? It's time to get a new Battery for the 100, still use the one that the original owner had in it.

From what I remember, the Optima's became hit and miss depending on manufacturing location about 10yrs ago. This may have changed but not sure. When I had my 60 there were tons of guys that had issues with Optimas, I grabbed a Diehard Platinum and it is still running today in the truck (saw new owner not long ago). Plenty of guys on here with good luck with Interstate Batteries, X2 Power, etc. that are equal cost or cheaper than the Optimas that I would probably steer clear.

THANKS

Just ordered an Antigravity. I'll let you know how it goes. Trying to shed weight.

Just dropped in an Interstate 94R(H7) from Costco (there's also an AGM option, but they didn't have it in stock and I needed a battery). Good fit with more power than the stock 27F. We'll see how it goes. If I don't like it, I know Costco will take it back.

Which model number did you order ?
I could not find a LC100 spec on their web site.

Thanks.
My 2000 LC spends a lot of time parked between trips & I’ve been looking at an AntiGravity with its anti flat battery + restart function.
Please keep us updated on your experience with the AntiGravity.

Has anyone actually tried the AntiGravity batteries yet? Because I am thinking about trying one.

I am kicking around the idea of trying an Antigravity. My previous LC had a group 31 and 34 dual battery set up, and I'm not sure I ever came close to taxing the system based upon my usage. The only thing I liked about the duals was the jump-start capability between batteries. A NoCo style jump pack had solved that. Going to a single AntiGravity could save at least 70-75lbs compared to the dual battery system, and about 35lbs compared to the standard group 27. I am waiting to hear back from Antigravity customer service on their input in regards to the occasional winch pull and how it would affect the standard ReStart battery. If it can handle the once or twice a year I use a winch, I'm going to give it a try. They just released a 30lb 100ah group 31 size deep cycle battery, but it only has about 300 cranking amps so it wont function as a starter battery. If they came out with a smaller sized deep cycle that would fit our vehicles, I could see running a ReStart as a starter and a secondary deep cycle as the perfect set up. Tons more usable amp hours, faster charging, much lighter weight, and supposedly 2-3 times the life cycle.
Anyone running an AntiGravity yet?

Is that what they’re calling lithium’s, it’s the new go to for secondary battery in car audio systems. If the batteries are connected inline you’ll want to run a lead acid starter in front vs an agm. For the excessive cost, the fact that your truck won’t really see an appreciable difference from the 30pound trim, and the statement that you never maxed out your current setup id advise to just get new agms as needed

Does the group 49 fit in the stock tray/location without issues?
Yup. It is "lower" than the factory 27 so you only need to add a spacer so the tie down holds the battery firm.

Also thicker battery tray will help close that gap

did you go with a regular or the AGM version?

Ran the "regular" for 2 years, transferred it to the trailer where it is still running strong. Switched to the AGM version nearly 2 years ago and have been very happy with it.
