I just started having some battery issues where the truck is completely dead after being turned off, no power whatsoever and no rhyme or reason to when it decides to do this. Voltage seems fine at 12.6v disconnected and around 14.4v running. Once the truck started up i disconnected the negative terminal and it stays running so I believe alternator is ok. To fix the issue I jump it but it doesn't need a charge on the battery like you'd typically do with jumping. I connect the terminals and can hear a "click" and boom everything is back and starts up normal. Does anyone have a theory?

I would begin with your terminal ends, and make sure you have a solid connection at the battery.
