Well, we are always looking for the rust free origional paint and 100% orgional 60's and happened upon one few weeks ago.

After pulling her out hibernation for 15 years and doing some deep clenaing we are amazed to find out how great and orgional this Hj60 is. Now the question, sell her or put her back in our storage for another 15 years :p

Low down:
1987 HJ60
140,000 miles
2H with turbo
5 speed H55F
Factory 2 tone grey paint untouched, no repaires and just some nice fade
G Trim
Dual bateries on 12V system
Altimeter
Clock
Tachometer
Wire hanress untouched
Rear Factory speaker with metal grill guards
Front Factory speakers with oem wire mesh
Door cards in perfect conditon
Power antenna
Factory Graphics (really cool to see the old school orgionals)
AC/Heat
Power windows, locks, mirriors (even the buttons still have the white paint on buttons like new)
Factory uphoslstery in perfect conditon (Driver seat has one small section worn from enter/exit of driver)
Healiner like new
Floor plan is in mint conditon (bolts still have the factory chromate)
Orgional carpet with little wear
Chassis super clean
Grill and light guards with no cracks or damage

The 60 came from Panama to Costa Rica in the early 2000's were the family stored until we made the deal.

We have restored several 60's over the years but this one will remain as is, will not paint, do touch ups or any mods. Keep her exaclty as she is

We actually pulled the motor, replacing all the seals/gaskets. I will get one tomorrow :)

Factory 2H with turbo … so, a 12HT ?

I was not aware the South American market get 12V HJ60 (HJ61) … interesting…

Nice find.

If it's a HJ60, it doesn't have a 12HT, and a 12HT isn't just a 2H with a turbo.

It is a Factory 2H with the turbo added by dealership in Panama. I will post pics of motor and turbo set up. There is a part number on the manifold but we have had no luck finding one online. Really cool steup to add tubos to 2H's...

Yes, its a 2H. They did not offer 12HT in HJ60s, they were in 62's like this EU spec version for sale

So, to clarify on this:

Its a 2H with a turbo placed by the dealer. Very common in Central and South America. We have sold several HJ76's and 79's with 1HZ motros with dealer tubo add ons.

Well I do know what is a 12HT (I have one in my own Cruiser 🤷🏻‍♂️) and I also know a turbo on a 2H do not make it a 12HT … I’m in the Landcruiser world since a while so I know these rudimentary facts. 😉

My point was the OP claim it is100% original. Without the precision he made about the dealer turbo install, this statement needed to be clarified or precised.

So, is the turbo installation where made with OEM part ? CT26 turbo ? Is the turbo cooled with oil and with coolant? OEM manifold ?

If you have time could you get the glow plug timer part number off you truck. I have a FJ60 that i dropped a 2H into with the 5 speed. The timer i used came from a 12v BJ and has a very short cycle time. Be nice to have the actual part number from a 12V model. Thanks in advance. it be nice to see your battery setup too.

The dual battery setup is located front of L & R wheel wells. Has corresponding battery trays but removed for now as we are replacing engine gaskets/seals due to it sitting for 15 years.

Here are few pics of engine bay.
