I have thought about this quite a bit thumbing through the diesel/importation threads. My uncle also imports for a living and I've exhausted him with my questions. I know the laws loosely, lets say...

BUT...
Could one import a 105 petrol from South America with no questions asked? My thinking is;
1. The same vehicle is was sold in the states
2. The engine was sold in earlier cruisers so it should pass epa??
3. The safety of the vehicle has been approved.

The same would go for a new 80 up to 2007, I would love a 5 or six year old 80 series. :steer:

I dunno I may need to bug my uncle some more about this I'll see where this takes me. Any information might be useful.

105 has a SFA so it's probably different enough that it couldn't be.

A 105 is not importable at the current time for driving on road purposes.

You can probably import it for off road purposes only.
