Thats really odd but cool. Why would a 98 LC have that tab? Im 99% sure they are the original arms
because the LCs in other markets had AHC available so they only made one UCA?

So why did they all fail? They look to be in extremely poor condition. Looks expensive too, buy your dad a nice bottle of his favorite hooch.

Im not exactly sure why they went bad. I just noticed they were squeaking badly, when I took a look under the truck I realized the terrible condition they were in. It is going to be very pricy!!!!!
I would buy my dad his favorite beverge but im not exactly 21 yet....

I only had one boot torn - could have torn for any number of reasons. But all 4 ball joints on my truck were worn and had excessive play, especially the uppers. My guess is that any 100 series that has been driven off-road on any "fun" trails will eventually have wear in the joints. Tears in the boots only speed-up the degredation of the joints.

I try to keep it a mall queen but I always get that itch to get her back on dirt.
Plus I use it as my hunting vehicle so it has to his a few trails!
