I maxed out my setbacks at 26x40 with 13’ ceiling which comfortably fits 3 vehicles with ample fab room. To maximize storage I did 10/12 roof with W trusses, so my attic has 12’ wide storage aisle with knockdown shelving in it, seems to work ok even if it is awkward getting the bigger stuff up top.

I did lots of research over at www.garagejournal.com, tons of great ideas there.

I haven’t had one since I moved 6 years ago.
Having one before was the bestest thing I ever in my whole entire lifespan.

Used to build big stuff and it was a life saver building chassis or SAS. Just “want” it now. A place to slowly work on Model A too.

You are well on your way to being a full-fledged member of the “TFBPPTC” now you just need a picture of a baggie with a Toyota part and factory sticker and you’ll get the decoder ring!

FYI, if you want them to teach you the secret hand shake you’ll need a picture of the ever elusive NOS ultra-hard to find Toyota part.

😹

Here are a few more tips

Dropped some tires off at @TachedOutOffRoad ’s house for @Godwin today and was able to inspect the Pig.

I like it. I missed the part that it’s a Pig Ear 1968. My favorite year Pig.

I also see plenty of room for a shop.

I thought flying out and driving this back was a bit crazy for a crusty Army Chief Warrant Officer but then somehow I missed the part that he’s a Marine to boot.
