The boy and I took a short cut on Saturday's run and found this. I'm curious what year it was manufactured. Loos to be in good shape.

It appears your image link got screwed up...

Now I see the pics... are you buying it Brittan?

No plans to purchase it...I'd love to own a 40 but I don't need another project right now.

Thanks King Bee

No for sale sign...just peaked through the fence and saw it there.

If your not going after it, sounds like you could trade the address for a 6 pack!! Looks like it is right over by the high school. John

Before giving up I'm going to contact the owner and see if it's for sale.

Uh Oh!! That's a dangerous first step to buying it!! Better to just pass the address along to someone else!! John

well, the good news is that the rust is already on the outside, you won't have to hunt for signs of it

76-78 is correct. Where is it located?

A 75 looks closer to a 76 than a 76 looks like 77/78. 76 mirrors mounted to the hinge not the door skin. It also didn't have the small vent window in hard top. While both 77 and 78 had the door skin mounted mirrors and the vent window 78 had the front three point seat belts mounted to the rollbar. 1/76 thru the end of the 77 model the three point seat belts were mounted to the hard top sides. The windshield washer nossle moved to the top of the windshield with the 78 model with a dummy nossle in the hood.

like you need another rig that you're not gonna wheel :flipoff2:

LOL...that's right...

:hmm: So if you don't go out with the group or don't post picture of everytime your offroad you don't four wheel:confused:

How correct you mostly are, however there are 1976 models according to the vin plate (usually Oct to Dec) that are counted as 76 while being considered a Toyota model year 1977. This makes the mirror designation unique to the model years rather than the build years most would see on the vin plate.

I don't think I ever noticed the seat belts in a 1978 being different than a 1976 or 1977, learn something new every day.
