First 40 post. Just purchased another FJ40 after not owning one for 28 years…

I have been looking for a long time but as we all know prices are ridiculous. This one popped up on local Craigslist so we went to look at it on Sunday and bought it. It is a 1972 and has a 2F transplant (F282533). Body and undercarriage are pretty solid for being 50 years old, pretty sure it has been a CO truck since new. It was clearly an old redo and paint is not great but will be a fun project and good driver. The paint is a metallic dark blue and wouldnt be my choice, but actually looks pretty good.

First things first, bezel painted white and new tires today!

It is so good to have one again.

New shoes. Much MoBetta!

Not sure what the offset is of these wheels but had to rig a spacer for the rear tire carrier and tilt it a bit to get it to fit. The bottom latch is pretty tight to the tire, but it works for now.
