Hello all,

I've been on and off Vancouver Island for over two decades. I have had several cruisers 70's and 80's but just picked up Big Johns BJ42. I've been gradually picking away at a few issues and making changes but so far I am happy with the rig. I'm always good to head out on the trail especially when the destination is one where the fly rod can get some use. I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of you Island cruiser heads.

Good looking 42.

Funny I read your post, and thought, " Big John, isn't that the 5000km's on the interstate in low range guy? I don't remember his truck being blue?"

but I guess that was Little John.

Sooo many johns

Too many Daves as well.

Working on sourcing some wipers now, other than that she's good to go fishing.

I'm camping this weekend, but may be free the following weekend if you're getting out then and ok with another cruiser along. Where on the Island are you?

One of these weekends I want to take my green thing for a longer drive than a lumber yard and back.

Maybe even some dirt roads to rattle things loose for a bit.

Crazy talk I know.

Weather hasn't exactly been inspiring so far this year.
