Greetings folks. I am in the later days of converting a 1970 FJ40 from the F155 to a 1979 B engine. Trying to keep the build modest and OEM, but it's time to order a few more ignition parts and the search is not easy. Hopefully, someone here can get me lined out.

Is the factory glow plug relay and momentary switch the best way to go? A new glow plug relay has proven difficult to source, and I have yet to see even a picture of the momentary switch and where it is mounted.

Finally, what options are there for dash mounted ignition switches? Part of me wants the basic forklift keyless style, like a hummer. Can the momentary switch be connected to the accessory position, thus foregoing the required "glow" style ignition switch?

Search Wilson switch. Gets rid of glow timer and relay. It’s manual. You count for time you need.
