Axles swapped. Master cylinder question

Just swapped 94 axles into my 91. It stops just fine but I noticed 91 and 94 have different master cylinder part numbers. Does the 94 push more fluid?
 
They are the same bore, so same volume/pressure. But drum brakes usually need a residual valve, so they don't retract, that maybe the difference.
