I have had the axle of Velveeta out many times with out a problem but this is on my Fj80...which has almost the identical set up at the rear axles of the 60 series.

For whatever reason the bugger won't move in so the C-clip wont drop of the axle..

any good Ideas for dis onneee??

It almost seems as somthing inside the drivers side drum brake is holding it up.
Im gonna pull the carb off the 60 while I take a break from working on the 80.

I know what you guys are gonna say......"pull the drum brake"

Im just being lazy.....but any good ideas would help..

thanks,
-Al

get a bigger hammer i had to do it when i put the aussie in the rear of my 60. I was also too lazy to pull the drum, but luckily a few sixpacks in me i was coaxed into persuading it with a bigger hammer. must have been justenough umph to pop it free. Dont know if that helps but it did for me.

I tryed smackin the axle in with a sledge to no avail...i will give it another go tomorrow and i guess if it doesnt work I will pull the drum off.
