Anyone ever ship a complete 80 series axle?

I'm trying to get weights for both front and rear axles for possible shipment.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

2 locked axles with complete suspension and a steering box, 900#'s.

-Spike (That probably doesn't help at all.)

That helps a lot. I know somewhere between 700-900 lbs now. I was told a solid axle mini was 300.

We don't have Forward Air in Idaho. The joys of living in a rural state.

I went with a 20x24x78 pallet at 710 lbs for the 2 axles and pallet. It was 340.80 from Idaho to Illinois via truck freight. 50.00 additional on each end if a lift gate was needed. I didn't think that was so terrible. I haven't sold them yet but I just thought some of you might be curious about shipping costs of something huge like this.

We don't have forward air :( and basically you could double your quote almost for 2 axles right? I didn't think it was unreasonable considering I've been gouged by UPS and Fed Ex for little stuff.

Eric, ForwardAir is in SLC.

Yes but that is 250 miles each way. The gas it would take isn't worth it. Plus there isn't Forward Air on the receivers end either.

Hurry up and send those to my buddy in Chicago so that I can start cutting/hacking/welding/etc!!! :D
