axle houseing cleaning (1 Viewer)

Anyone have a good trick for cleaning out the inside of axle? its completly stripped but still under the cruiser. parked inside so i cant use the presher washer

Remove it from the truck and put it into a hot tank...


Go get yourself a couple cases of brake cleaner and a few rolls of paper towels.

gasoline works pretty good as a degreaser. its far cheaper than the canned stuff too.

Brake cleaner is the best to avoid residue.. I took a rag and pushed it through with some rebar(about 20 times per side)..I suppose a toilet brush on a rope would work as well

I just used a plastic mop handle and pushed several wads of professional wipers through until the bore was clean and shiney; then ran a wadded up wetted towel with brake cleaner through it.

Toilet brush and a wood dowl worked great. Thanks for the idea.
