(Hi Rosco FJ73, ) While we are on the subject of Australia can you tell me if New South Wales is a region of Australia that has a fairly arid climate. The reason I am asking is because I have an HJ45 pickup (all original / un-restored) from that region that is the most rust free Cruiser I have ever owned. I do not know if the vehicle was sheltered by the prvious owner but it has a near perfect frame and body. Thanks....................1978HJ45

We also don't have the issue of salt on the roads to deal with ice in winter, which seems common in some North American states.
the salt on the roads what exacly does that do?
In some countries it's even worse....
Don't know or they still do it now but I remember driving an unpaved road in Norway in the summertime, some years ago.
This road was covered with salt, as if in wintertime....tho no snow.....
When I asked around I got the answer this was because salt attracts moist and this way the unpaved road was less dusty....![]()
