$15,000 reasonable (2020) price for a '96 3x locked LX450
- $2000 because it would need a paint job to get that
- $1000 because a PO swapped in a cloth interior (this could actually be a plus I guess... great condition)
= $12,000 asking
The usual minor 80 upgrades:
Washer tank relocated and second battery tray installed; Interior LED lighting; dual digital volt gauges mounted in the center console; pin 7 mod and CDL switch installed; BH3dprinting cup holder; sound deadening applied to the the floor
Drivetrain:
Just short of 190k miles; K294 factory lockers work great every time; pin 7 mod done; heater hoses (including PHH), water pump and head gasket done by the previous owner ( Aussiecruiser82 on mud ) in the past ~15k miles; plugs, plug wires, cap, coil wire, coil, fuel filter replaced by me in the past 1000 miles. It has an aftermarket remote start / keyless entry that works from 25 yards away. Engine runs great since I finally fixed the miss I was experiencing with a new coil; transmission and txcase work perfectly. I have new fuel injectors that haven't been installed since the miss went away.
Suspension, steering, brakes:
OME 2.5" lift with unknown spring ratings; Slee caster correction bushings; hubs done in the past ~15k miles according to the previous owner; 17" Toyota wheels; 35s with a few thousand miles left; power steering pump replaced recently with a new gear; brake pads and front rotors replaced recently by me; I recall the PO telling me he put in a new master cylinder, but they're FZJ80 spongy; new (less than 1000 miles) Rancho adjustable shocks, new tie rod ends, tie rod and steering stabilizer; new (today) rear sway bar links and bushings. Steering column firewall fitting replaced. Steering is still 80-series vague, but better than it was when I got the truck.
Armor:
Trail gear winch bumper with an older 8000lb Warn (not currently installed); Kaymar rear bumper with spare tire swing-out; Trail Gear (?) tubular sliders
Body:
factory roof rack-less; antenna doesn't retract but pulls in a signal; a few very minor surface rust spots on the body; lots of touched-up rock chips on the hood; sunroof drains work fine
Interior:
cloth interior with manually adjustable front seats (swapped in in place of the LX450 interior by a PO); aftermarket double-din stereo with a Bluetooth dongle; I've pulled and steam cleaned the carpet, and took the opportunity to stick noise insulation to the floor; rear heater deleted; fire extinguisher mount on the c pillar; LED converted interior lights; no 3rd row seats; professionally installed tint in optimal condition
I have vented (switched and working) Porsche 911 front seats that can go in it, but I've got the LC cloth seats in there now. Your choice.
Clean Texas title in my name. Thanks for looking.
