Hi Guys-

I'm tryiing to track down a set of rear seat for a troopy. Will 75 series rear seats work in a 45/47 series troopy? ( I don't think so as my memory tells me that a 40 series troopy has a bench, while a 70 series troopy has 2 seats per side similiar to a swb FJ-40)

Any thoughts on the matter?

Why do you call a Landcruiser a "troopy"?

Is it an Oz thing?

Yeah like he said... 47, 45 series Troopcarrier, also was 75 series ( maybe 76?)...

Type Troopy into google images and you'll see what pops up

Anyone know? Wrong forum? Ever since they dissolved the international forum, I'm not sure where to put 45, 47 series Troopy questions....

Seth ,both the 45/47 and the 75 had forward facing and side facing seats AFAIK with the forward facing being the least common in both models.
The forward facing rear seat for a 75 troopy is difficult to find as it is in demand due to changes in occ health safety laws.
I think the 75 seat would fit width wise with mods but Im not 100% on that.

Umm, can a fellow Californian answer your question?

75 series seats mount directly on the floor and on the body sides. These mounting points are not present on the removable 45 sides. The side mounting points are located much lower on the seat back than on the 75. In addition IIRC 45 series seats are designed to mount on a shelf extending from behind the front seats all the way to the rear of the cabin (just like a 40) that also constitutes the rear wheel well. 75 series seats are not.

Using 75 series seats in a 45 troop carrier would involve a lot of modifications to the mounting points. IMO you would be much better off using two pairs of 40 series seats instead as the mounting points do not have to be moved and are much closer in design to the original 45 troop carrier seats.

Thanks Dave, I forgot about your lucky situation.
