So this is only installed on right hand drive FJ's?It only would be behind the drivers seat if you have a right hand drive truck. It is missing the fuel/vapor separator that goes inside it. There is one more L-shaped piece that completes it by tying it into the floor.
Nope. Goes on the right side of the truck behind the front seat (passenger on left hand drive) attached to the side on the body in front of the rear fender. The fuel tank vent hoses go to a black plastic vapor tank that is protected by that shield... On right hand drive trucks it is behind the drivers seat since the fuel tank is still mounted on the right side of the truck. So this is only installed on right hand drive FJ's?
The plastic separator you mentioned, are you referring to the plastic piece with all the fuel/evap lines running into? Any pics available to show proper install and misc. pieces/parts? ThanksBTW those clips and bolts don't belong there either. One of those holes is to bolt to the B-Pillar and the other to the fender well. Your plastic separator is missing from this as well.
Great, that schematic is perfect. Thanks much! Looks like I need the lower protector #77673. Anybody out there have one they would be willing to part with?
Photos were a big help. Where they normally painted to match interior colors. The part on one that I have is the tan color. Here are some recent photos of my fuel separator cover, painted more of a pewter color than the old battleship grey.
