We may be moving to Arizona in the near future. I am trying to figure out Arizona DEQ requirements for Phoenix metro. I may just decide to sell my desmogged 1978 FJ40 in my PNW state before the move if it's too much of a hassle. We would likely be moving to the Peoria, Scottsdale area. Any AZ members care to chime in?

Easiest way to deal with it.......is collector car insurance. Then, no emissions required.

Mine is not registered in Phoenix area so no emissions required or in Phoenix register as classic vehicle, I think you are limited to 5K miles a year that way though.

Collector car insurance has changed a bit. My last policy had no mileage limitations.

Yea it has to be smogged for
Maricopa county or register it through a trust family member. But if police see it too often they may pull you over and force you to register it. I park my 74 in the valley registered in midwest no smog. We bought all the smog stuff but that doesnt mean it will still pass.
