Are Hubs An Option On The 80? (1 Viewer)

Here's the scenario - broken front axle (first time at Moab on the rocks, got a little crazy). If I installed hubs I could unlock, pull the front driveline and still get home. Has anybody done this, is it even an option? Thanks for your help.

If you had a CDL switch you could just remove the front or rear shaft?

That way there is no torque going to the unbroken side, in the event of a bur or broken parts get between rotating parts...

And more torque adding to breaking more parts... Like something that isn't completely broken, but could be more.
