Can I use any year '93-'97 FZJ80 birfields in my '93???

Were there any changes in the years I need to be aware of?

Still searching for that FZJ80 that's being parted out...

You can use any 93-97 stubshaft (birf) as long as you have the correct drive flange to go with it. The splined section was lengthened in mid 94 and the drive flange was also changed at the same time. If you buy new OEM you get the longer style and need to buy a new drive flange as well. Toyota referes to this as a "set substitution" or "mutiple supercession".

Note: Not all 93-94 vehicles have ABS, most do but verify before purchase.

Thanks Dan, I'll remember that when looking for used birfs and pick up the drive flanges as well. Most likely I'll be getting them from a later model Cruiser.
