Here is the exact replica of what my ARB modifications will be...just in minitature scale.
I wanted to keep the ARB bar because I have 4" PIAA's in the bar and spent too much time and money putting those in....so the ARB bar HAD to stay in the equation.
This will be a Prerunner look with a forward SLIGHT, "stinger look". Also, the swept back look of the trailing "arms" coming off of the stinger. The Stinger will be in 2" DOM and the side bars will be 1.75.
I 've been waiting years for someone to sell this type of bar....but it never quite happened ) Anyway, it should fit my Hella's. I love the ARB..I just always thought it hid the line lines of our 80. I'll paint the bar Metallic grey.

Why are you using DOM? It seems like you could use something much cheaper and still get the same result. I do realize you do things top notch on your truck, but seamed tubing or black pipe would look and function the same for something non-structural like that. That said, I think that looks GREAT.

Good point Josh...Well I get the DOM free and it was what was on hand in my freinds shop...so there ya have it . It goes in the shop on Monday and hopefully, he can grind the weld from the old stuff down smooth. He assures me he can do it to where it is baby smooth.

Looks really cool. But will the lower side bars not block your headlights?

I've thought about that...but don't most prerunner bars of this type block the headlight?
Would this be an issue with getting the safety inspection passed?

Actually you may be ok- here's a stock ARB pic... it looks like your bars are just a little higher than the one between the blinker and headlight anyway..

So if anything it appears to only interfere a little with the high beams but if you can use high beams then you're probably flipping on the PIAA's anyway, right?

Yes exactly. So it would cover some of the high beam..which I never use. Thankyou for the insight.

Nice looking bumper prototype, should be plenty strong with DOM tubing

That looks pretty similar to the one Mark M. here in Austin had built for his 80 airland. He removed an ARB to do it as well ...

personally, I would neither block the OEM lights with bars nor the rad with aftermarket lights
