Obviously my friend you have not met the squirrels and gophers in my neck of the woods ROFL

Time for a suppressed air rifle, my friend.

Heh... Just last night I picked off two rats in my tangerine tree...

Just a little CO2 BB pistol, but does the trick.:ninja:

I am fortunate enough not to require a suppressor. I have had complaints from the local turkey vultures asking if I could occasionally get a rabbit or 2 as an all squirrel menu is getting old. Yes I remove the lead pellet if necessary.

I've seen the single tank compressors mounted in 80 series in the quarter panel. It was on a serious overland vehicle that circled the US and then drove to the tip of Chile. I have been trying to think of ways to use the quarter panel area in my 200 for storage. I need to pull one off to really see how to use it but it seems like a lot of dead space.

Fwiw the Expeditions7 VDJ79's had twin compressors mounted in rear quarters, no problems. Not only were they mounted in the quarters behind aluminum panels, they were stuffed behind gear too. A couple laps around the globe didn't cause any issues :D

I could dig up or take a few detail shots or the compressor mounting if interested. We did have to repair the output lines on the compressors with an higher temp line than was originally used, other than that they saw a fair bit of use without problems.

I've successfully mounted the ARB dual compressor in the rear of my GX470. One question I had was on wiring since I'd like to wire it back to my dual battery instead of splicing the wires on the other side of my drawers for my fridge. What gauge wire should I run back to the battery?

Here's a few other pictures...I custom fabbed a mounting bracket that attached to the backside of the compressor and mounted to the new plate (seen below)

I am a long term Prado driver and a happy new LC200 owner. I am working my way through some early mods and have caught the dangerous LC bug... So far, OME 2" lift installed, ARB bumper w T-Max 12500 winch, Rack. Next projects are lights and compressor/Air lockers. I am planning on the ARB front and rear air locker and want to mount the compressor (CKMA12 - not the twin) in the rear of the vehicle inside the rear quarter panel/trim. I found this system for mounting the twin compressor & air tank, but I am wondering if anyone has mounted the smaller ARB compressor here? Any thoughts?

(I have nearly worn out the search function but found nothing - If I missed something, please point me in the right direction).View attachment 1630113

Rear Mount ARB Twin Compressor Kit - ARB Coopers Plains

Very late response I know, but thought I’d post this just in case someone is researching the topic and might find this useful. The Arb twin compressor actually does not heat due to some technology that I absolutely can’t recall right now, anyways, in my opinion that’s what makes it stand out the most compared to a single compressor. Yes you get a faster inflation time blah blah but this feature allows you to install it anywhere + you don’t need to cool it if you are using on 4 or more cars. So it’s worth the investment 👌🏻

Is that true? All the ones I've seen get pretty hot.

If you can compress air without building any heat, I'd like to buy that technology off you!

Not wanting to put words in his mouth but I think he means "overheat" and this could be the old "duty cycle" thing? Wait till he grabs that quick disconnect after filling 4 34" tires.

That makes more sense. All of the ARB "maximum performance" (CKMT*) compressors are rated for 100% duty cycle.

As far as mounting, the traditional locations in the engine bay using a SLEE tray makes the most sense to me. Either on the DS behind the battery or PS near the firewall.

And agree with skipping the tank.
