I thought I'd finally install some pics of my compressor and switch install. The compressor is mounted on a bracket I made by welding the compressor's mounting plate to a piece of angle iron. I drilled two holes in the other end of the angle iron to match the bolt pattern of the charcoal canister bracket and replace the bolts with longer ones to mount the new compressor bracket in the same place. This way the compressor occupies that dead space under the hood and I didn't have to move anything around under the hood. It still leaves me room to access things for routine maintenance (plugs, distributor cap, dipstick), but is easy enough to remove if I need more room to work on something.

I generally don't like to make irreversible modifications to my truck so I didn't want to cut holes in my dash for the switches. So I welded up and painted this switch housing which I screwed to the underside of the dash panel.

Looks really good! What paint did you use on the interior? Looks like it matched really well.

I couldn't find a good match off the shelf in a spray can, so I mixed it myself with Testors model enamel and shot it with my airbrush.

You should sell those. I'm your first customer for an unpainted one. Very good solution/location.

I put a set in a friend's truck in the slot under the radio. Mad a plastic plate with the switch cutouts. Looks clean and almost factory. Not as clean as land crushers.
