I apologize if this has been asked and answered, I did a google search and nothing came up. I know there are several options for the 2016-2021 200's to add Apple CarPlay to the factory radio but I'm unclear if those will work on a 2014.

When I went to BeatSonic's website they don't even list a Land Cruiser at all, even though I know they have one that works on the 16-21's.

So does someone make a module that works with the factory radio? plug n play and all controls work? Or do I have to go aftermarket? I haven't bought the truck yet and this will be a sticking point if I can't add CarPlay...

TIA!

No great solutions, but there are several passable solutions to carplay. Search this forum with keywords like EC Offroad, Naviplus, Beatsonic.

Ok, so all of the typical CarPlay modules will work on a 2014 the same as the later 16-21's then?

No. But some companies offer both. Different products, none are ideal. Definitely more options for 16+. I liked the GROM VLINE2 in my 2013 until it just stopped booting one day.

For whatever it's worth, I've had the GROM VLINE2 in my '08 LC for about a year now, no major issues to speak of. I use it for Android Auto, but I assume CarPlay performance is similar. If you keep an eye on the forums here, you can generally get the VLINE2 kit for about $500 as part of a group buy. At that price point, I'd say it's well worth it.
