i finally had some time to go through my recently acquired troopy. I found an Australian Landcruiser repair manual under the driver seat. Unfortunately for me, it's for gas not diesel. However, I'm sure it will be useful for suspension, body and electrical stuff. I was wondering if anyone has any input on how informative this manual is, compared to others out there. Thanks in advance.

The Elllery manual is okay. I would rate it a bit better than the chitons but not as good as the Gregory manual or the FSM. The write ups here are very useful, too.

Good luck, ty

Ty, thanks. I'll look those up. I am a total newbie. I've been perusing the forums. I've got lots to learn.

The Toyota Factory Service Manual is by far and away the best, IMO.

I like the Ellery as a companion/comparison to the Haynes. There seems to be different approaches and sometimes even different specs so, in the past, I used both simultaneously. Nowadays I use the FSM.
