anyone think of using Honda Element rear seats in an FJ?

I guess you could fab just about anything to fit. I sat in one at the local Toyota dealer, didn't seem too comfortable and they weren't a real bench, cupholder's in the middle.
Oh, now I know what you mean. The FJ Cruiser's rear seats don't fold down. You should post this in the FJC section as opposed to the 40.

there were FJ seats that fold off to the side
I guess in later models. I am wondering if the Element seats can be adapted. That would allow for using the rear cargo area for storage when needed.

After reading your post I realized you thought I was a FJC person.
I am interested in converting Honda Element rear seats for use in a 1981 BJ44 from New Zealand that I am importing to the USA.
I want to know if they will have adequate headroom, if they can be easily installed, and what custom fabbing I will need to do.
