37x12.50r17 MTRs measure 36.8”, which is damn near a true 37. Perhaps you’re thinking of BFGs, which measure 36.3”.
Maybe you taking that from there web site, other wise you would be saying that they were 37 3/4" be because that how a tape measure reads.
I have a set of 37" BFG's setting in my garage right now that measure 351/2" aired up with no load, that's right 351/2"
My 39" Mud Hog's are 381/2"
 
Just saying what’s on the tire…37x12.50x17…
I agree they run a tad short
 
It would be helpful if people posted up actual tire size instead of what's printed on the side of the tire as it varies considerably ;)
 
Good to hear. Not everyone is so lucky. I wonder what makes your setup different.
Probably the fact that bfg 37’s ain’t true 37” tires…beyond that …I have no clue…wheels have 0 offset and 4.75 backset…

After reading this thread I’ve come to the conclusion that tire companies are dominantly ran by men. That’s the only reasonable conclusion that explains the size discrepancy.
