I was suprised to read that the US spec 80's didn't come with a sub-tank, I thought they all would have them. What do you guys have there instead? Or does the spare tyre just tuck up further?
I find the sub tank in my HZJ80 very handy when touring. I can get almost 1000km from my two tanks. If anything else it is a safety margin if you hole one tank, you can run on the other.
It is like stopping at a service station every time I press the sub tank button, I feel like crying when I have to fill them both up though. Usually around $160 to fill both from empty. (diesel is around $1.20 - $1.30 a litre)
