anyone heard from Mike Speer? He made the old repro hubcaps.

Mike did the repro old style hubcaps. I paid for 6 of them and he responded quickly, but haven't heard from him in 3 weeks. I believe he is from Cali. I am more concerned, at this point, that something has happened to him. He always responded very quickly. I have sent multiple emails.

I didn't order the caps, but I did pay for some VIN plates, back in Jan. and have not heard from him. He told me 4 or 5 days? PM's go unanswered.

Everybody says " good guy ", but this keeps happening, as I learn more about him. Not good business, in my opinion.

I'd just like to get my old plates and the $130 back.
 
As you can tell by my post, I was trying to give him every benefit of the doubt. Hearing your experience makes me worry. Sent him $180 same day he asked for some "blem" caps. He replied immediately with shipping and said he would be able to fit all in the same box and it would go out the next day. I sent him extra shipping and now...three weeks later...no response to any attempts to reach him. Poser, if you have any way to reach him, it would be appreciated. I have had, not just good, great experiences with purchases from other cruiser guys I have met here. This is the first time any issue has ever come up. Anyone have info, please chime in.

I thought I saw SOR selling repro caps (perhaps his) - maybe they can provide contact info?
 
I have some caps from him, brand new I would sell. The ones I put on my troopie rusted an got pitted. I have a full floating rear axel so I had to put the front caps on the rear. So I have a couple of solid caps foe sale.

Good news. Heard from Mike today. Sounds like he has been tied up and the caps were going out today. Thanks for all the input.
 
Well I am in the same boat as you all. I ordered two more sets of caps March 4th and still have not received them. I sent Mike an e-mail but he has not responded but now hearing that you, Wdukes, were contacted by Mike makes me feel a bit better.

He did deliver my first set earlier this year so I still have my fingers crossed.
 
Same here. I received my caps and he did a great job. I received all as he described. Much appreciated Mike.
