The truck that i purchased falls into the hdj81 with lift category, but happily it is a high end lift with with all the proper components. Front, rear lower, rear upper control arms, front/rear panhards all adjustable, and drop brackets at the front to correct caster. Has lowered front/rear swaybars and front/rear double cardan drive shafts. Seemed they also slapped in some aluminum spacers on the spring mounts to lift it even higher, about 8 in total. I could drop it bout 3-4 inches just by removing the spacers which would leave me with the lift i was pretty much seeking in the first place. Overall im pleased as this has taken care of all my lift expenses minus getting new drop brackets as they are too long as they are now. Other tidbits include full 3 in stainless exhaust, turbo timer, pyro on the side of steering column.

Cheers
Mark

if you dont mind

If you buy a lifted truck with big tires (or had big tires), you can add the cost of replacing TRE, and possibly some other steering components and parts pieces. Big tires are hard on front ends if driven in the city all day long.

Just my experience.

I only bring in trucks lifted if the customer wants it - just like beaters. I have sold 3 trucks to toyota dealers for snowplows. Seems they don't like pushing snow with a big ol'dodge at a toyota dealership.

can some one please inform me as to why some guys are still running sway bars with that much lift if you have that much lift and dropped sway bars aren't they going to be torn off , are these lifts just for show and the sways added back on for drivability ?

really currios because i just got my 60 lifted with ome 2.5 and i chose to leave my front and rear sways off ( for now ) un less i find the drivablity to be scarry .

actualy when i do a 2 1/2" lift i run longer bolts and sleeves to be able to still use the sway bars, works well...

thanks wayne , do i just get ready rod or find the longest bolts i can and what do you use for sleaves i figure any steel pipe in the right diameter would do, i would still like to try re attaching them to see what the differance is i can always pull them off or make some quick disconects later on also what about front and no rear sway ?

i will get you the length of bolt i use next time i am in the shop.... it works well. i would suggest at least one end be stabilized, both is preferable.

cheers and Merry Christmas
