I have a 1969 fj40, left wheel tub is laying outwards. Looks like I need to cut all the spot welds and hammer surrounding metal back in shape and reweld it. Just wondering if anyone has done this and had any success?

chances are when you cut it out, you'll find more work. Its likely sticking out due to rust between the panels.
only thing holding it in is the spotwelds.saving it depends on its condition, once removed sometimes you can hammer em out or grind the rust down and put them back in.a good spotweld drill makes it an easy job,well at least easier.
