back in the land of enchantment
I need a hand moving from an apartment back to my house and have a U-haul reserved for Saturday. I don't have much, but there are some large things I can't move myself-2 double beds, chest of drawers, sofa, coffee table, dining table and cedar chest. One strong back for a bit to load, drive 2 or 3 miles, and unload would be greatly appreciated. Pizza and beer, wrenching help, or whatever your price, just let me know. Moving from second story apartment near Tramway and Montgomery to single story east of Tramway at Spain. Thanks.

I may also be available, depending on the time of day. My father-in-law is having a birthday, so we will probably be over to celebrate with him at some point. I have a couple of four-wheel moving dollies and a two-wheeler as well, and those are handy tools for moving. I probably wouldn’t be much good for getting heavy stuff down the stairs, but I could be “auxiliary help”.

Sorry, I have an all day commitment next Sat. Hope the move goes well.

I'm on the fence. I'm supposed to gather with old friends in AZ this weekend. I can help if that falls through.

Ok, I am planning to be there. Any birthday celebration would likely be in the evening. Just let me know when you decide what time you want to get started. I will bring the Tundra in case we overflow your U-Haul. The truck has a camper shell, but I can also bring an open utility trailer (4x8) if that would be helpful.

I can lend a hand if you guys need

I'll come and stupervise  .

I can bring my 5 x 10 utility trailer with high sidewalls for those stupidly awkward things that can't support anything on top. I have a hand cart and a furn mover, if needed.

I'm out. Sorry I can't help.

David,

I should be able to help you by that time (assuming my CV is gone which it should be). You can count on me my friend.

Either you're planning on rock crawling your way to David's or you're referring to Covid 19. 🤔

Thanks to all of you for your generosity, it's nice to have friends like you! Anyone is welcome that wants to come, but more than 2 or 3 and Ali won't be the only one supervising. If nothing else, you'll know where I live and be reminded how you lived in college. I think Taghi and I loaded, moved, and unloaded everything in about 3 hours just in November. Hopefully it didn't contribute to his back being out now! I pick up the Uhaul at 0800 and have it until 4, I think, so I'm flexible to whoever can help. I'll just start loading the small stuff first thing and wait for someone to arrive to help with the big stuff. I've been living with pretty sparse furnishings waiting to see how this would play out (it was a mistake not taking all my stuff when I left, though.) I'll also take some smaller stuff over during the week, so it will be that much less.

Cool,.I'll brin my own director's chair 🤣

I don't know about Ali but I can vouch for Evan being a great help with moving. I feel guilty that COVID hit right after I moved and we haven't invited him over for dinner (or anyone else for that matter).

No worries Marc! I hope you all have been enjoying your new house!

Larry and Evan will be here around 9am--Las Kivas apartments at 4777 Tramway (between Montgomery and Manitoba). I've taken a few loads over in my rig this week and there really is not much left besides those big items. Anyone that wants to, come on, but Larry, Evan and I can knock out the move and be done by lunch.

Anyone that is coming, send me a text or PM and I'll give you the gate code for the apartment.

Thanks again everyone, I appreciate all the willingness to help!

Looks like plenty of help so I'll bow out.
