looking for some new tires and have narrowed it down to some ATs. Anyone running these? What do you think? Any other AT options out there that people love. Running BFGs ko2s on my 4Runner and looking for something different. Thanks.

Very little noise on road, handling is superb especially in the rain. 0ff road they've tackled mud, rocks Etc and handled just fine. I've been wheeling them for 5 years and despite some minor "chunking" from rocks they still have ~ 40% tread wear-50k on these tires-bought in 2011. They are expensive up front but well worth it IMO. Cheers!

My vote is Cooper ST Maxx
Not a mud tire
Not an AT either... its a true All Purpose.
These wear flat as an iron & twice as long as any other tire I've ever run.
They don't pick up gravel & rocks like All Terrains do.
I've had 265s, 35s, 315s & now 37s.

Thanks that was actually another choice of mine.

This is Nick Fousakis' truck. It was the inspiration for my build. He works at Falken. He chose the A/T over the M/T for overall drivability. That should tell you something. I hear nothing but excellent reviews on the entire Wild Peak line.

Beautiful truck!

I would go Cooper, since you don't want to go BFG KO2s...

My buddy runs the Mickey atz's. Almost no road noise and grip well. Only downfall is the $$$.

New Nitto Ridge Grappler looks promising. If you really plan on beating on a set of tires, I say run those and report back so I can keep them in mind when I need another set.

I can second the st maxx. I am only 1k in on a set, but have tested on dry/wet pavement and a steep muddy hill in my yard. Much better grip than the old BFG ATs that came on the truck. Only $1310 for a set of 5 315x75r16 with amazon prime.

Unfortunately no longer available after I just discovered them. I have 4 and have been unable to locate a 5th. Not sure why but two local retailers both voted no to its replacement (atzp3) even though that's what they toss on all the bro trucks in their lot.

Reviews seemed promising on the wild peaks but some real world feedback I've seen here and elsewhere has been kinda negative.

The St maxx looks pretty nice

Why are they not sticking the atpz3? They are slightly broish but not far from the same
Design as the atpz3. I've read positive real world reviews of the wild peaks on Tacoma forum.

I`ve run BFGs and had good luck with them. Found a great deal on some Coopers and love them.

I have bfg ko2s on 4Runner. Looks to try something different.

Going to throw another positive post in the direction of the Cooper ST Maxx's I am running 255/80/17 on my 80. They do pick up a few stones here and there, but not like the KO's do on my wife's tahoe, or the Bridgestone Revos on my 3/4 ton Seem decent in what snow I found since I put them on, ride decent, dont make a ton of road noise, and seem to bite well on everything I have been in them with

On the Maxx tires, when you get into the lager sizes the lugs are future apart so they pick up less gravel when you go BIG.

Hi,

i recently changed my rims and tires 285/75/16 Yokohama Geolanders . I noticed a change in speed indication. how can i adjust the KPH gauge ? 120 KPH means i am on a high speed then what is actually shown. i know this because i got caught by speed detectors and was fined for speeding abit over the limit.

i think i am supposed to change something to be able to have the speed adjusted on my dash board.

whats it called and where can i find it. ordering online would be the best way as i live in the Middle east.

Digital Speedo Corrector - 80 Series Toyota LandCruiser
Electronic speedo correction, these are available from Australia, but you can use google and may find something closer.

I've got ~35k miles on a set of Wildpeak AT02s and really can't say anything bad about them. I bought them initially because I needed tires quickly and didn't want to spend a lot, but 3 years later I have to say that these have been good tires. Even wear, quiet on the street and reasonably capable off road. I probably won't buy these again, but only because I'd really like something a little more aggressive for the mud around here...
