Anybody have a SOA with stock steelies? (1 Viewer)

If I paint my 40 (that is SOA) I'm thinking about going to the stock steel wheels with the stock center caps just because I love that look. Any body have one set up this way with tall skinny tires that looks nicely proportioned and care to share a pic?

it will look cool but be awfully narrow unless u use spacers

SOA w/ Stock springs or lift springs?

If you want to run "pizza cutter's" I'd recommend finding 16" rims. CityRacer sells 16's that have clips. Running 16" rims will open up some tall narrow tire options. If you search the 40 forum you'll see quite a few folks run 235 85 r16 or 255 85 r16. I've posted a few photo's of 235's on my SUA w/ 2.5" lift springs.

If you go with 16" rimes the military 9x16 Michelin xl , something like 36"x9"

900r16 is 36"x9.5" approx depending on manufacturers

1100r16 is 38.5"x10.5" approx

approved rims are 6.5" ... skinny rims

You would have to weld clips in to retain the caps.

No retainer clips, they aren’t landcruiser wheels they just happen to look a lot like them.
