looking at the A pillar driver side grab handle to add a spot for my phone.
Who’s done it? Is it out of the way when you don’t need it?

I've seen some pics online of people mounting a ram mount in that location in lieu of a suction cup mount I don't know if I like that locale but it has been done.

This looks cool.

Here's a very bad picture of mine. The phone is an I-Phone 6s. I have the same setup in my wrangler. Its out of the way and tucks under the grab handle. I have the power cord attached to the back of my stereo.

Cool did you use a longer bolt on the grab handle and what piece did you use to attach the grip?

I took another picture of it from the side. I was mistaken, I used 3 extensions not 2. I remembered what the washer was for. The screw size I believe is 6mm. I used a shake washer (star washer) under the bolt head. It spread the load from the under sized screw and kept it from loosening.

Hope this helps

Love it thanks.
I had a phone holder I mounted in my
TJ but it wasn’t strong enough to hold the phone and the phone dropped right on the plastic door panel and cracked the panel.

A dropped phone broke the plastic interior panel? That's some Legendary Jeep quality right there.

Ya, I know. I've had many and this TJ (all with roll down windows and manual everything) from 2005 with almost 0 issues. Still a good 4x4 convertible.
