Just curious what that would look like and what you have to do to the gearing.

Thnks !

It would be too high. If you are going to run 33's stay SUA. Gearing with a 62 should be ok if you dont live near many hills. If not then you may want 4.56's.

I am running the same size tires mentioned 33x12.5 with a 4" SUA lift. It high with those tires and I could run 35's if I trimmed a little or ran a 1" BL.

A SOA lift is going to net you 5.5" minimum! Way too high for 33's. Especially if you are considering regearing etc. Why not do it right hte first time?

One last question - How long have you owned your cruiser?

Not the best pic to show how high it is compared to the tires, but you get the idea.

Why, we need more details.
Why SOA only?
Why 33's only? Looking at your other posts it looks lke gears are the biggest issue. Is this b/c of costs? If so a SOA is not cheap at all if done correctly. And can add up to more than a lift kit depending on how much you can do yourself.

Your rig looks nice, I would advise you to drive it a year b/f doing any major mods to it. Fix maint. issues etc. (This is if its new to you.)
- Any other pics of your cruiser? Seems like everything else on your site is porn.

Also, I remember your other post about the same topic. No need to repost the same question every 2 - 3 days.

Sorry ! !

Thnks 89 rules, but i'm new in this forum and i have a lot doubts...I've been reading most of the messages and figuring out if it is better to make the SOA or a good lift. The thing is that this is the only FJ Phorum around, I am in Mexico and there's nobody that gets it's hand on a vehicle like this ones,

I appreciate your comments beforehand,

No problem. I am just trying ot get at why you want to do certain things to your rig. I was really all gung ho about doing all kinds of mods to my 62 when I first purchased it. But now I can kinda look back and evaluate what I want and NEED.

I am sure it is tough to get parts, etc in MX. This is a great forum and most guys wont BS you. Best advice to give you is to search as much as possible and then decide what you want/NEED to do. And ask questions then.

This was mine with 33's before I went bigger. They look kinda gay but they work. At least you never have to worry about rubbing. If I had a pic directly from the side, it would look even worse. This pic doesn't really show how small the 33's look.

Ditto what 89s rule says, definitely take care of the maintenance issues first! You'll have peace-of-mind knowing everything is taken care of and it will help you to better evaluate the modifications you'll want to do.

Besides, Land Cruisers are made to wheel in stock form. Just get some good tires on the rig and don't go doing anything silly.:grinpimp:
