well a good friend of mine got in an accident and is hard on money. i feel bad for her so im doing all i can to help her out. Her car is a 1994 honda civic dx my question is are all honda civics hoods of this year the same? regardless of wheather its a dx or a lx or what ever? does any one know a good fourm for honda civics where it wont be all about coffee can exhaust and neon lights?
she smashed the hood and the front bumper so i guess the same question for the hood goes for the bumper as well.

    thanks for all the help

Look under "Your Ride" and you'll see a lot of topics. There seems to be a few good questions and a lot of technical replies in there.

IIRC, the DX vs. LX is more related to the trim package than anything else. I believe that the engines were the same. Mostly interior trim, seating, wheels, and stereo differences...

92-95 (Gen 5) are indentical hoods. Bumpers vary a bit = the 92's did not have the little vent cut-outs out on the sides...

I wouldn't write off those forums just because "ricers' are there....

Might find a hood from someone who put on a carbon fiber, maybe even a leftover bumper from a front end kit....

Do 2dr(3dr) and 4dr have the same/interchangeable hood, headlights, etc...?

To my untrained eyes, they look like they could be ever so slightly different. But I'm probably wrong (again).

    Yes, the hoods are interchangeable.

I moderate www.hondahookup.com's integra forum, the civic forum is filled with ricers. But I bet they'd answer your questions.

Yes I know the hoods are the same for sedans from that year (regardless of trim package) -- not sure of the coupes being interchangeable with sedans though.

Coupe and 4 door hoods are different and so are the bumper covers and headlights.

    Mike,
just a WAG here but pretty sure if you need a hood please replace the hood latch as well, I see a lot of people who do half ass fixes on cars and that $35 hood latch should not be reused if it has any damage at all.
Did this get punched in the side or dead center?? If you were up here i could give you some bone yard to scavenge. also see if keystone automotive products has a branch near you. Afterarket parts for the honda (specifiically the hood and fenders) should be CAPA certtified. Do not use a non capa hood on a honda.
Sory for the diatribe but looking at wrecked cars all day will do that to you.
    Dave
