The title says it all. I am looking for a used road bike, time has come to ride some more and there are no mountains in NE OH. I am an ex bike mechanic who has lost all of his old contacts. Any help would be appreciated I think I need a 58cm.
    Thanks
    MJM

    Used?

E-bay all the way. Used bikes sell for dirt cheap on there.

Check and see if the local cycling club has a web page. In Cincinnati, the local club has a great web site with classified ads for all kinds of great bikes. Quite a few of the bikes were only a couple years old and were being sold 'cause someone upgraded to a better ride.

I just bought a road bike. Checked ebay for weeks and never saw that great of deal, there just weren't many to choose from in the 56 size I needed. I ended up buying new, then saw some guy sell the same bike with just a couple extras for about $400 more than I paid for mine new. I hear the selection is much better int he fall, I just wanted to get some kind of exercise so I figured it was worth getting it now. With kids, work and everything else, it's just harder and harder to get the time to drive up in the hills to a Mountain bike trail. Its nice to hop on the roadie and head out form the garage.

I bought my bike off of ebay and all went well. It was about 36% off new price for a bike that had only had a thumbnail scratch on it.
