Any idea what this diff / drivetrain noise might be? (1 Viewer)

Had the rear diff rebuilt it was ringing pretty loud.
New diff has about 50 miles driven and 100 miles flat towed. It has had an aussie locker in it for about 7 years.

Went up into the mountains to hike in the snow. Coming back down on a curved paved highway in second for engine braking it was sounding kind of rumbly. Backing into park and it sound terrible. After it cooled off no sound. Took it back out warmed it up and got these sounds. This is a hard turn.

This isn't the locker is it? I've never had it sound like this before

@cruisermatt if there is anyone I know of that has heard a failing differential it is you considering you did some inspiring trailside repairs last year.

same ring and pinion as before it was rebuilt? How's it look under the diff cover?

As a full time traveler I live in RV parks and can't pull things apart.
I'll was quoted a full rebuild, I'll start digging.
I'll have to flat tow it about 100 miles back to the shop.
