I'm curious about where your radio antenna is located. Mine is behind the passenger's side kick vent, but I was looking at the 1976 FJ40 they have at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum in Salt Lake City and it's in the opposite location (driver's side). What gives? Did they move it to the driver's side in late 1976 for the '77 model year?

My May 76 is on the driver's side but further back than the above picture. Dealerships probably installed them wherever they felt like.

It's handy to have the antenna on the driver's side. While driving through low hanging branches (or garage door openings) the driver can easily reach out the window and lower to below windshield height.

My April 76 is on the drivers side but aft of the kick vent.

My 12/78 is on passenger side just forward of the kick vent.

Two things: 1) That truck is gorgeous!
2) That's exactly opposite to mine in that it is the mirrored location to mine and the truck is so clean and mine is still a visual nightmare.
