CCOT (cool cruisers of texas).com

Thanks for the CCOT tip but don't see they have info I'm looking for. Can anyone else help?? Thanks

Are you looking to just walk in and buy the paint? If that's the case then pick a automotive paint store in your area, and give them your year and they will more than likely have the paint code on hand. After that just have them mix it up for you, have them match the hardner, and primer and get set to prep.

Yes, I'd like to walk in and buy paint in proper color. If it's as simple as that I'll keep asking. However, I've been to several auto paint stores and have been told that 1971 FJ40 is too old and they cannot find it up on charts. If this is true, I'm still looking for help. Thanks

Get a different opinion if you have your paint code any decent paint supply is able to mix your color, if it's not a stock color then it can be more difficult but with a sample (you can bring in the glove box door) they should match it code 502 cashmere beige perhaps
try
http://www.autobarn.net/
or PPG
http://www.ppgcarpaint.com/searchv2.php?mfg=1622&year=1971&search=Go
they have 147 colors for the 71' toy

I would keep looking for a paint supply house that will help. I have not had any problems with the "T-***" or the Ditzler codes that CCOT has. The other thing to do is look it up on: http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/search/search.pl

My local auto paint supply has the PPG book with the same colr chips, and I would think that most would.

I just got a qoute the other day for my paint almost $500 for a gallon of Freeborn Red.
