Well yesterday I picked up my first 40 series a 1964 FJ45 a ute of course (I'm in Australia after all) I towed it home with my daily driven 89 FJ62 with a 12ht conversion.
The plan with this project is to build a ute that will actually get driven regularly so I am not going to be to pedantic about keeping it 100% original but it will remain classically styled it will be a pretty mild build as I want it to remain a practical rig oh and the build won't happen fast so be patient as I have very limited time and budget.
Update as of 19/02/16
Okay so the progress has been non existent with work and kids and so forth, however in august last year (2015) I was let go from my job building sheds (woohoo I hated it hours were woeful conditions just as bad) so since then I have been a stay at home dad and helping my lovely wife with her business.
The problem now is there is no budget for the 45 as it is I had to sell the 60. So even though I have some time I have no money (always the way )
The 45 is still under a tarp in the backyard (still no shed) I'm itching to get stuck in but stumped as to what I can do other than dream and stare at it
It was a bit of a barn find and the fact that it has been kept dry is a major plus as it has very little rust it was last registered in 2004.
The ute on the trailer we ended up turning it around as the trailer swayed because the motor and box is sitting in the tray.
In the backyard at home shame I don't have a shed yet to park it in and start the work.
