Well I have uncovered the 45 this morning and been looking over it to re-remember what needs to be done, there is a fair bit and I won't know the true condition of the body until I strip some of that white paint (no time soon) I have found some spots I suspect there is bog probably covering rust :(

One thing that drives me nuts is the front end of the chassis it has been horrifically mutilated by a sadistic cruiser butcher,

See here-

The plan is to find some pictures of a similar era chassis and work out what is what then fill all the holes that don't need to be there, anyone have such photos?

I have taken sneaky's advice and started on a job that has been put off for a long long time, so I'm only gazing lustfully at the 45 now and then, I will take to it with some inox later though.

Now I have never really named my cars or cruisers but I feel as though this old girl deserves one or it is an old boy so any suggestions are welcomed I will have a think on that one.

Cheers.

This is what happens when someone with no clue attempts a V8 conversion

The more I look I see lots of bodywork to be done it's by far the worst part of the whole thing, the chassis is solid mechanicals seem reasonable (although the motor is on the tray)

payney can you find a piece of body work that would show original paint? Under the dash, or under the ID plate, or under the handbrake handle bolts.

looks like sonny jim wanted some practice with the drill and hacksaw:bang: hope you get a job soon.

Yeah this thing was hacked pretty bad old son. Having second thoughts?
