I know a lot of you 1HD T owners like to keep an eye on whats happening with other peoples big ends

"Hi all
We have an 1992 80 series factory turbo like every other one it has had its big ends done before. Motor blew up then had full rebuild by toyota in 1996.
They were re done 100 000kms later by Toyota with genuine standard size bearings in 2001.
All by the previous owner, since we have owned it the oil pressure looks low on the gauge. This week we decided to take a look at the big ends and were shocked to see that the bearings were well worn one of them starting to flake.
These bearings have done 190 000 kms and are meant to be the better quality that toyota are using today.
What concerns me is should i check the big ends in my 100 series 1999 turbo 1hz 273 000km turbo since day one ?
They are the same bearings !
Has any one found a problem with a 100 series yet ?
Since changing the bearings i have cheacked the oil pressure with a master gauge and it is within Specs 28psi @ idle and 75 psi @3000 rpm
But the gauge still looks low. Sits almost at the bottom at idle and only gets up half way at 3000 rpm.
Is the gauge a common problem for looking low ?
Thanks
Luke"
